Posted: 09-08-2008, 11:09 PM Passafist, you pretty well hit the nail on the head. Speaking from past experience, MidWest isn't that bad except for the minority issue, which exists in the AOR. It is quite obvious and blatent and why Shane allows this to persist is beyond me. It does put a black mark on an otherwise decent company. That said, MidWest is "Flight Levels" above ITT. The ONLY good thing I can say about ITT is that the the checks were on time. Other than that, I can think of NOTHING positive to say about them. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. As for KBR, all I know is what I've heard, that KBR is KBR. If you have ever been in the AOR you will know what that means. And WCG, once again hearsay only, but I have heard nothing but positive things about them. Sounds like a good company to work for.

Re: Anyone ATC overseas openings
Posted: 09-19-2008, 09:54 AM I worked with Midwest for just over a year May 2006 -07 Baghram A.B. Afgannistan...and to give you some honest feed back on the company starting from the top to the bottom summarily the company is in my opinion GREAT! and very fair. As far as the minority issue I don't understand and didn't see that there was a problem with P.C. hiring more minorities than "whites". If anything there were OBVIOUSLY more "whites" than any other group there. P.C. would help anyone out. While i was there, there were a few guys that had problems getting rated there (Bagram's a pretty busy facility) and they just happened to be "white" and you don't have to take my word for it ask anyone who were there during that time frame. Another thing is the ATM is a guy name Les umm forgot his last name but he's "white" ... If anything he's the biggest problem you'd have to deal with there once don't just take my word for it ..please ask people who have been there... I hope this gives all of you a better picture of how the company works ... It's definitely a fair company. There's always going to be a few bitter people out there. Lastly yes I am "black" and I have 11yrs of ATC experience including both TWR and RAPCON and now FSS.
