Going last really sucked for you I know but you still did really well as I had expected. Now you can feel free to cry at your facility :-) |

I had 3 VKS departures and 3 GWO departures. I had 2 VKS inbounds. Military change of destination. 2 6-7-10 amendments. Emergency. A Lifeguard requesting an ambulance on the field(Which my evaluator also felt should have been an emergency, I didn't LOL). You'll pretty much have 4 aircraft to aircraft conflicts, and one conflict with the MOA or restricted area. You can obviously create more conflicts if you move the wrong people though. I had to request control of an AC in another sector and point him out to Jan apch because he was landing at VKS. Everything in PV is stuff you've seen throughout all the problems, so it's really not difficult. The PV is very managable, it's slightly busy, but there are certainly things to do. If you start missing things it wouldn't be difficult to fall behind. I actually went in not that nervous at all...I started to psych myself out during the problem though. There were times when I felt the pressure and wasn't sure what I should do next. Honestly I didn't even feel that I did well, but I passed so that's pretty much all that matters! I without a doubt ran problems 35 and 36 better than I ran the PV...it was much easier for me to get in a rythm in those problems because I was constantly working and scanning. The PV slows down quite a bit so there were times where it felt like I was 'searching' for things to do, instead of just being in a good flow knowing what I had to do. I probably did more, but that's all I can remember right now. Unless you have no understand of what you're supposed to do at all, I honestly don't see how you could fail the PV. |
