hey guys, Im new here at SM but you can add me to your GA pilot group. I, like most of the rest of you, have no money to fly. Totally sucks. I'm in the norfolk, va area and it aint cheap. I'm still on the fence about getting my CFI, however, I am pubnat 7 so I have plenty of time to figure it out. I am really hoping for this ATC venture to work out. I have always been interested in aviation and if I can't get a job flying then I would like to at least get to tell the pilots what to do. He He.

do it if you can...very rewarding when you get good students, it does get boring at times but all you have to do is ask and generally they'll be happy to let you play for a bit. you'll be suprised how much you'll learn...

and not to mention its always a fall back. and if you ever buy an airplane your insurance will be way cheap

Actually with a CFII your insurance is dirt chep as long as you dont allow students to train in it

It's boring right up until you get into the pattern and they try and kill you fifty different ways. Then it gets a little more exciting.
