Flight schools

Hello everyone!!

I am looking to get my CFI at a school in south florida. I have received all my training at Delta Connection Academy, I know it is pricey but I really believed in their training and standards. However, I know there are other schools out there that have good programs. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything or knows from a personal experience about the schools around the fort lauderdale executive airport. I've gone to visit several of them, Professional Flight Training, Platinum Aviation, and Airborne System. help me out guys, save me some frustration!!

YES, I am stuck in south florida. Since i have spent almost all my money on my training it leaves me more contained to fort lauderdale executive airport, since that is the closest airport to me. I do have several choices of flight schools, so i am not totally bummed out. I just wanted to hear some outside options for the level of training at some schools. I am doing my CFI so most of the training is in my own hands. I'm just at a crossroads because I always thought I would finish my training at Delta.

Delta is way expensive. I also heard that they are filling bankruptcy and are loosing all affiliation and benefits from delta. Gulfstream Academy sounds amazing, but it is another 40 grand. What is the general consensus about gulfstream??

No. I was joking about Gulfstream, don't go there. It's bad news.

Go by JetCareers or another popular professional pilot forum and do a search on them; you'll find a lot of negative comments about it. Potentially damaging to your career.

I just got my CFI @ KFXE back in February. I trained on and off for over a year, but finally finished it up. If you're looking for great, cheap instruction (not for a school, but privately) let me know.

Get in touch with the local EAA chapter and ask those guys, you'll find that they will know all the local flight instructors and examiners, and will be able to tell you who would be the best and least expensive. Who knows you might even join the EAA, most of the groups are some really good pilots and nice people.
