possible academy dates for pubnat 2 applicants

okay, so i didnt even think they would send us before january, but it seems anything is possible. i noticed some people have dates for dec 9th and 15th

do you think they would mush us in with them??

i am hoping for terminal class

just trying to judge if i will be with the fam for the holidays or not


the reason i ask is my friend originally had a nov 25th (ish) date and they called him sept 24 and asjed if he could be there for the oct 2nd class

i kinda want to be there asap, at the same time, im kinda sad knowing i will be away from everyone during the holidays

I thought I would get one of the two holidays at home, but they moved me up to start Nov 26, and I will miss both. Got notified about a week ago.

I'm PUBNAT2 and I'm not expecting us to be in OKC until January at the earliest. If someone is going to a critically staffed facility and they go to the earliest PEPC, then maybe they'd be thrown into one of the December classes, but it's not something I'm expecting to see.

I agree. The way it has been going I don't expect to be there any earlier than January. Given the way PUBNAT 1s were/are scheduled, and the fact that there seems to be way more PUBNAT 2s, some of us might not see the academy until late March or April. That is just my opinion, however.

I thought sometimes you had the option when getting a class date? As in you could pick a later date?

i talked to my HR rep at the PEPC. i asked her specifically about class dates. keep in mind that i am enroute. she told me that we should expect a class date by late march or april. i also have a baby due in may, so i asked her what i could do about it. she told me that we could ask for a late class date when the time came. i really don't think that i would pass up a date though. who knows when they would be able to fit you in.

Well for me the sooner I know when to report the better. I have some leave time that I'd like to use so I can be fresh for the academy. I'm hoping for that news before Christmas...that would be the ideal thing for Santa to put under the tree!

P.S.--As per our lovely HR representatives in KC they don't work Monday and Friday sooo this timing would probably be appropriate!

Well, All I know is that I am attending the Jan PEPC in Los Angeles and the lady that I know out here, who is the HR rep for Los Angeles Center (and 2nd in command of the region temporarily) said if I got to the Jan PEPC I should ship somewhere in FEB. Which is when I NEED to go! lol My son goes back to be with his dad for 4 months on Feb 1st, so that would work out perfectly!

I'm pubnat 1 and I'm going in February. I'm going to ZNY. Enroute class dates of march - april would seem to be more accurate for pubnat2 - it's just speculation on my end.

When I went to the PEPC last week they told us feb-april for terminal, and for en-route not to expect anything until this summer.
