Late Notification

I have a buddy who was being considered for the september terminal panel but didn't get picked up. He called and talked to a couple of people in OKC and on seperate occasions was told that the notification process takes months and that he could still be contacted for a position. From what I've been reading everyone is talking like everyone selected has been contacted already. Does anybody have any insight or any more information on the possibility of being notified late?

I think the only way someone might be notified at this point is if someone declines an offer, but knowing the FAAs attitude toward this process, they may just hold off and select an extra person at the next panel instead. It is anyone's guess.

Most people who call are told that if they don't hear anything by November, they weren't selected... I spoke with someone who was able to tell me that I wasn't selected so I know I'm not waiting for an email that isn't coming. I also personally believe all the emails are already out and anyone who didn't get one isn't going to at this point.

like everyone has said before me, it's anyone's guess. but if i had to i'd say the reps are correct in saying that emails may continue to trickle in through the middle of november, that way if people decline their current offers it would open up a slot for someone else. and if it doesn't happen by november, it probably won't because the first round of PEPC's will be complete.
