Pubnat3

I called OKC today, and they stated another 2-3 weeks before the GEO email is sent out for the 5/30 close date.

Im assuming the review panel will meet 2nd week or so in October.

Just so this is clear to me, you took the test, reapplied, were
told you werent selected for the AT-SAT, then got on a referral list anyway?

Pretty much. The first time I applied was for the state of Illinois, which allowed me to take the test. (Be happy everyone, I applied in May of 07 and didn't take the test for it until January of 08, so you are all on the fasttrack compared to what I was) Then they took all veterans for the 15 positions. Then I waited and have applied for every announcement I have seen since. Somehow I missed PUBNAT 1. Anyways, yes, I've been told I havn't been selected to take the test several times now and made the referral list for PUBNAT 2. (And hopefully 3,4,5... if I don't make it here for any reason)

its b/c you already tested, you at-sat score is good for 3 yrs, im on the referral list for pubnat 2 so dont worry its all just a waiting game, i was offered zdc the 1st time and turned it down b/c i cant relocate to washington dc, i was advised by the aviation careers office to apply to every open app that comes up to keep my name in the referral list each time its generated, i received the geo pref email for pubnat 2 then i saw on asap im on the referral list....just gotta wait and see

I can't remember if I've introduced myself here or not... but if I haven't, uh, hi, I'm also PUBNAT3, already taken the AT-SAT, blah blah blah. I already know half of you from ########## anyway.

Good to have another place to distract myself while we're waiting through this process. Besides, I find StuckMic usually is much better when it comes to avoiding the trolls, and Lawn Gnome does a bang up job of gathering together a lot of helpful information.

Your at-sat score is good for three years in the FAA system. You may retake it but must wait atleast a year from the date that you had previously taken it on. If you continue to apply for the Pubnat's it will be the same score. The most recent score will always replace the previous one even if it is worse.

Has anyone in the Pubnat3 posting received their geo preference email yet?

I think PUBNAT1, 2, 3... is the announcement number for that particular hiring group or applications. I've applied for PUBNAT3 and 6.

Not yet, but it should come in any day now. Honu recently called up the career line, and, long story short, found that the selection panel is meeting in early November -- which means that the timeline suggests that we'll be hearing from them this week.

Hopefully.

...sigh.

my brother is in PUBNAT3 as am I and he just called about 4 days ago and they told him not to expect the geo pref emails for another 1.5-2 months
