Will there be a PUBNAT7 for September? Anybody know?

If the trend continues like it has, it's definitely a possibility. If they choose to list one, it's like to go up any day now, since they tend to open mid-month and close on the last day. Keep your eye on ASAP.

A public national announcement for applicants. You'll also here them called OTS for "off the street". These are what many of us newer people are filling out, as opposed to coming from the CTI (College Training Initiative) program or the military. PUBNATs are numbered according to when they came out... PUBNAT1 was in February, PUBNAT2 and 3 in May, and so on.

Someone posted on atcmonitor.com that they got through to someone at the FAA in sept. who said the next PUBNAT would be in November. So hopefully we'll see something soon.

1/17/09 AT-SAT test date

There have been about 10 verifications of a mid-November PUBNAT7 coming out...so I'd be surprised if anything otherwise were to happen. I spoke to SEVERAL managers, and terminal ops. managers, etc. who have all verified.

My money's on Friday, or Monday.

So lets say Pubnat 7 comes out on the 14th and closes on the 28th of November. Based on the standard time lines and the back ups for Pubnats 4,5,6, when would a successful person with Pubnat 7 end up in OKC?

it seems that the process is taking about 6 months just to get to the PEPC. So expect a selection committee about May and a PEPC about July.

PUBNAT3 is on month 8 nearly, and still haven't got their geo. prefs. Our PEPCs won't be until April, which is likely when the next panel will be, since they're only quarterly.

P.S. Many PUBNAT1 applicants (from February) are still waiting for class dates...
