a couple of .65's ago chapter 7-2-1 had "report that traffic in sight"

it was taken out.


and i stand corrected... can still use "report [airport name] in sight" when it comes to visuals


after sparking up the discussion at work today... the "report that traffic in sight" was taken out to reduce confusion as to which traffic if multiple calls were given.

I concur 100%, my fix? I take them ALL off of the SID's and STAR's on initial
contact.

Too bad we have to work around the 7110.65, to make things work. What is
likely happening here is the NextGen Gestapo is trying to force us to allow
the aircraft to descend and climb via the new RNAV procedures but the people
who write these things have no clue how stuff works in the terminal environment.

It ain't sterile down here folks, there's lots of planes...
