Posted: 09-23-2009, 09:55 AM I've tried looking this up but couldn't find a solid answer. So, what the heck is it?

Re: Target Resolution
Posted: 09-23-2009, 10:16 AM TARGET RESOLUTION- A process to ensure that correlated radar targets do not touch. Target resolution shall be applied as follows:

Re: Target Resolution
Posted: 09-23-2009, 01:24 PM Right . . . target resolution literally means that the radar targets don't touch. If you have to have target resolution, then you, as the controller, have to ensure that the targets don't touch (or provide for some other means of approved separation). The pilot has no idea if his radar target is going to merge with another target.

Re: Target Resolution
Posted: 09-28-2009, 11:39 PM I have a questions regarding the 3 sweeps and 15 seconds rule i have been looking for a straight week for the guidelines of calling radar contact lost and I cannot find it anywhere! So here is my 2 questions 1. Your doing an ASR approach (using STARS scope) And your primary target drops, however you still have the secondary how long until you have to call RADAR contact lost?
2. if anyone knows where can I find that answer? word of mouth is a dangerous thing and the whole point is to find out where it is. If anyone can even point me in the right direction I would be very greetful i have search every pub i have access to. 7110.65s, 80t-116 , AIM, AOM, STARS manual, human factor reports, shoot i even looked in the RWOP and FWOP. |
