wow...this was a first for me. I've never heard of any fac with this extra rule. If it was slow...brief and unplug. busy...brief stay until i felt they got it. please don't tell my CCTLR what's going on at your fac...crazy.

funny, because most deals happen when it's slow. No one at my facility has a problem w/ the 2 min. It's a safety thing, and there have been MANY times where, during the 2 min, the controller forgot to brief something, or had to restate traffic, etc. Where safety is concerned, I have no qualms, I stay 2 min. or as long as it takes afterwards.

2 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 minute, whatever...... its still pretty safe to say that without a requirement in the first place most of us would stick around for a bit and make sure the controller relieving has it once he sits down... it being recorded is just a cya... and godforbid you have to press a button on the etvs/rdvs and say 5 words... (6 if your one those wierd motherfuckers that actually says their initials in phonetics)...

i get relieved and immediately walk downstairs to the break room and play modern warfare 2. Some wait 2 minutes and i refer to them as those who watch me play video games.
