Recognition for a Great Job!
Posted: 06-02-2009, 08:24 PM

We would like to thank one of our members today for a job well done!

Caminito made a post about AF447 that landed us almost on BBC's homepage...just about as close to their homepage as we could get...one link away. Because of his comment on the situation, we received close to 2,000 unique visits that may have never known about our site any other way. Here are the links below associated with the post and so Caminito can check it out as well:

BBC NEWS | News Front Page

click on the third link down that says "what's being said on the web" and it will direct you to:

BBC NEWS | Americas | What's being said on the web

We are the second quote....Now, how about we give Caminito a lifetime elite membership?!?

Good job... but it's the third quote, for anyone who checks it out... maybe they added another? The source for each quote is sited above the quote.

Anyway, I'd say a lifetime elite membership is a good way to say "thanks"...

Er... I don't know if I'd like SM to be characterized by a wild conspiracy theory, myself. There's a reason things like that are picked over tamer, more logical comments.

I guess they didn't like my LOST theory enough to put it on their site, haha.

The plane may have broken apart and the survivors are LOST on this strange mysterious island where they find themselves being hunted by people and smoke monsters. They will eventually get along with each other and learn how to time travel.

I SINCERELY agree with you, but sometimes even bad publicity is good. I think it was some random horrificly made "funny" atc video that routed me to SM. I thought it was terrible, but here I am.

Heh. Now I'm curious about which one it was. Anyway... I follow your point. I just hope that SM doesn't get characterized that way in the end. I doubt it will, but... you know.

I wonder if we'll see him again. Just have the impression he was one of those one-time posters. Guess we'll see.

Rossta you should head a new forum called "The Noos" or "the noose" for short because we'd be hanging ourselves with stories like that lol.

If we could compartmentalize it well enough, however, maybe we could get "The Onion" to pick us up.
