The "New" Look

Yeah I know...this isn't really an introduction...but I thought I'd get enough people's attention in this thread.

I wanted to see what everyone thought of the new look. We have spent a lot....and I mean a lot of time and thinking to bring you a nice, clean, look to the site. As with everything, I'm sure we haven't pleased everyone or maybe have taken away some features that you guys really liked.

This is the time to comment...offer your suggestions, give us kudos?!?...haha....whatever you want. To be honest, we are hoping the majority of you like what you see, but if you don't, please let us know so we can take it into consideration as we are always updating the site.

If you haven't been by in about 4 months, I'm sure you are blown away by the difference...if you haven't been by in 1 month...you are probably still blown away. Even one day and you've noticed a huge change. A lot of the changes wouldn't be possible without people like our coder Herpcenter and the guy who runs the server we are on, GeorgeO They have been able to take our ideas and bring them to life, so a big thanks to them.

Finally, if you like what you see and believe in what we are doing here, you are welcome to contribute to the site via our donations tab on the main screen, or by clicking Donations. It takes quite a bit of time and money to keep a place like this up and running...every bit of your contributions help in making Stuck Mic the best aviation community on the net.

We hope everyone becomes more and more active on the site and takes advantage of all the features there are....too many to list at this point....just take your time and browse around....you'll probably get lost. And if you would like your profile to start appearing on the main page, you at least have to add a picture, or we will skip over you. You can also customize every bit of your profile, like I did to mine, by clicking on User Controls on the left navigation bar on the home page and clicking all the links under "Profile Editor." Now let's see who can make a nicer looking profile page than mine!

That was the first thing I clicked to check new posts. Please put it back, I miss it

the top four most active threads are now on the main page...under the top four threads, the most five recent discussions are listed....they will be bold in color if you haven't viewed them already, so it lets you know the new posts.

New site looks great and I can tell a lot of work has gone into it...I have to agree about the new posts, it was quick and easy....I guess I just got used to just pulling up this site and going right to the meat and potatoes. Regardless LG I dig it. I have always liked this site over jetcareers and others because of your hospitality, kick ass job!

I will add a "new posts" link next to the users username on the homepage (Its now in green.). Lots of people are likely missing a quick list of EVERY new post on the site since they last visited. I forgot about that one.
