New Features
Posted: 09-22-2008, 08:45 PM I just wanted to spend a second or two and go over some new features for those that haven't been on the site for a while....or for those that haven't found the features....We have had this site up for a little over 3 months...here is what we've done so far and a link to the feature...from newest feature to oldest:
Stuck Mic Bookstore - The Book store is through amazon..anything you see on amazon, you can purchase through our bookstore.....dvds, cds, books, you name it, enjoy! Stuck Mic Videos - We already have almost 100 videos in the video section...if you want something in there or a category that you don't see, shoot me an email and I can add the video or category. Picture Gallery - you can upload pictures to any of the categories...if you have some good aircraft pictures or faa facility pictures, please upload them for all to see....also, you can upload directly to your user album and have it public or private...when someone views your profile, they can click on Pics below your profile picture and it will bring them to your gallery. Roommate Finder - this is a roommate finder for anyone that will be attending the faa academy, or you can use it to search for a roommate in the area you will be moving too....in hoping to room with another air traffic controller. You just post your roommate add with your preferred housing, price, and date and you are all set! FAA Academy Housing Reviews - A huge list of the available housing in OKC along with directions to the academy from the housing, pictures, housing rates, housing descriptions, and most importantly, housing reviews from others that have stayed in the place you are looking for. CTI School Reviews - A list of all the FAA CTI Schools, contact information, area maps, and description of the school along with reviews from students that are attending or have attended in the past. Articles - We have an article section, if you have an aviation papers or paragraphs that you have written, put them in the article section for everyone to see. You will get credit and the best thing...you will have a publication on the internet that everyone can see! Stuck Mic Arcade, arcade with almost 400 games and leaderboard Custom Profiles, to have a look what yours could look like, click here: LawnGnome Chat Room - Connect with other aviation enthusiasts in real time in the chat room! Blogs - We have blogs for everyone to write whatever they want...think of it as your own journal...you can make it private if you choose as well. Social Groups - We have already created a handful of social groups for various different interests....if you have one of those interests, join the group and start chatting...if you have an interest that is not already a social group, just create one yourself and start inviting people to join! Well....I guess that is about all we have been able to do in the last three months, so forgive us....however, we should have lots more to come! You can always check the left navigation bar on the home page as they have some of the most useful links on the site in an easy to locate area.... |
