Greetings from Ft. Lauderdale

Hello all,

Just a quick background on myself. Bachelor's in Finance and Real Estate from FSU, and an MBA from NSU. I had been thinking about getting in the ATC world for a while but when they closed it off to OTS I pretty much gave up hope. I have a buddy and cousin currently in the CTI program and after doing some research, found that it wouldn't take all that long to complete the necessary classes.

I'll be attending Broward College starting in May 2010, and currently work full-time in the finance world. I know this is a waiting game so fortunately while I'm waiting I'll just continue the same career I've had for going on 4 years.

This site is certainly useful yet depressing. I had no idea that the process of getting hired was so long and difficult. I was under the impression once you finish the CTI program, you go to OKC and then start at the facility relatively quickly. You guys have made me quite depressed regarding this but I'd rather know now rather than be surprised.

I'm 26 and will finish a hair after I turn 28 so as long as it doesn't start taking 3 years to get a TOL I'll be good. I don't really care how long it takes after that because again...I'll be working a full-time job.

Once I get started I'll probably start a blog but in the meantime...its nice meeting you all.

NSU is Nova Southeastern University...Florida's 2nd largest private university. I think they are the Sharks or something like that. Did the MBA online so I never actually stepped foot on campus.
