Im pretty sure the Serco info is out of date... Contact Name, Address and Website. Better site is www.serco-na.com

CLICK HERE for the link to current job openings.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the information, I've added it to my favorites for future reference.

Default Contract ATC

Why can't the FAA contract out some of the smaller radar facilities? It sure would help the people with radar only experience. I hear that the FAA is not a good place to work right now. The DOD won't even give anyone a chance. I guess us Radar folks will either contract overseas, deal with FAA bullshit or be shit out of luck waiting for a DOD position. LOL Life is great!

Long ago I was told that the FAA would NEVER contract out a radar facility. That being said, and given the sad state of the FAA's current ability to manage the ATC system, I think it's just a matter of time before the radar facilities fall to contract.

As for DoD, not sure what you mean by they won't give anyone a chance. Truth of the matter is there are a very limited number of DoD positions and competition for them has historically been very high, but with the above mentioned FAA (mis)management, it's even tougher as controllers are leaving the FAA for the coveted DoD positions.

I heard of a DoD facility recently that had one position open, and over 300 applicants. Of those applicants, only about 80 were eligible (meeting the qualification/experience requirements) - so yeah, it can be a tough battle to pick one up.

Default thanks!

Appreciate the info. Ohana! I guess I'll try and knock out me a CTO while in the FAA and then go contract.

If you can't get DoD contract is the next best thing. Especially with RVA.
