Does HR need DD214 before panel for proof?

I am not a VRA applicant but will have 5 point vet pref at the panel, does HR need a copy of my DD214 before the panel or is that after selections are made? When I look at my submitted application on ASAP it says this:

Based on your answers to the Military Background questions, you also appear to be entitled to Veterans Preference. For more information about Veterans Preference in hiring, click HERE.

I just want to make sure they accept my application as a vet. If they do need a copy of my 214, does it matter which copy? I have copy 1 and 4. I assume if they do need it I send it to the address on the bottom of the application. Thanks in advance.

No, they need it when you get your TOL. to be more correct...they need it before your FOL.
