Posted: 03-07-2010, 07:48 PM Do you think that they will know by OCT 31st whether or not you have a spot at your facility, or a class date. I can't seem to get a straight answer out of my hr rep.
I am not asking if they will have a class date for me or not, just wondering if they will know whether or not they will have a date for me, or if it will still be stand by and wait. I can handle waiting until OCT if they will at least tell me yes or no, not a specific date, just yes they have a spot for sometime that year or no they don't have one until next year. GIVE ME SOMETHING. |

Posted: 03-07-2010, 08:27 PM well, like this FY, they may load on a lot of class dates for the first few months then just a few as the year goes on or even them out a bit. I understand that in no way shape or form answers your question but I would think that they'd know by October. Maybe not.

Posted: 03-08-2010, 10:33 PM Unfortunately they(HR) will say just about anything to get you to leave them alone for a few days so I wouldn't put 100% confidence into what they tell us sometimes... They will however probably know the staffing numbers and budget allowed a few months before the beginning of the fiscal year. If they didn't I would imagine it would be hard for them to do their job.
It will probably happen just like last year: they will get this big budget and hiring quota... Hire like crazy for like 2 months, some how run out of money, then hire no one for the last 10 months until the next October. |
