How long have you been waiting?

Just wondering how long everyone has been waiting. I got selected for NC in Jan 2011 after applying for all VRA and OTS announcements since 2008. Of course, i got picked up off the OTS announcement. Now im still waiting on big FAA medical in OKC to review my medical record which that has accumulated to be 7"+ thick (according to the reviewing officer). My case is getting so confusing that they are wanting me to re-submit documents that i have sent them multiple times. All of this after i have gotten 4 different medical professionals clearing me for what they are questioning. From what the official is telling me, my case is going to have to be reviewed by the Federal Air Surgeon. So I'm guessing that my road is almost to the end of a long, long, painful road.

So my advice to anyone applying VRA, get EVERY record while you where in the military. Even if someone says that all of your record, check every command you have ever been. Some records don't follow you through your career in the military. There are somethings the FAA thinks exist that really don't. If you get frustrated, eventually they will think your lieing to them. Dose not seem to make sense to me but, it happens.

So has anyone had this much of a problem getting medically cleared?

BigChew-where are in NC are u supposed to go? I got picked up VRA under MAR 12 panel for asheville. I have hit a bit of a snag with tier 2 MMPI. HURRAY!!
I literally just received the email today sssooo I have like a 3-4 month delay because of this bs but no problems with my actual medical records.

Just jump through those hoops and hope that they dont throw more your way. Im just getting tired of jumping. When i got my TOL it just said NC. Im hoping for Wilmington since i have always lived close to the beach. It has been so long that, who knows, they might send me across the nation. I'm feeling like this is my last chance, when i find out everyone on here will know.

Going thru the tier 2 evals, no class date yet

My trainer in the AF got picked up in nov '11,cleared, and is about two weeks from graduating the academy. He told me they were really quick in getting vets thru asap, so we'll see...
