About how long does it take to get an interview after filling out the paperwork? Also, about how long does the traditional route take?

My buddy from applying on the 1/4 closing is going to the New York PepC, the end of this month. Probably 3-5 months after that he will have a school date.

If you got Pubnat 7, closed december 16, don't look to be in OKC before 2010.

12+ months going Pub route, probably 6-8 going VRA, start to finish once your app gets forwarded. (But I have heard of less time for VRA)

Hope this helps, I personally know people that have gone both routes.

Good LUCK!

About the interview, go to a PEPC and you get it there. If you want to dick around for a few months talk to your HR rep and don't go to a PEPC.

Can't go the pepc route its to expensive. Been accepted by ama and now just waiting for an interview. It may actually end up being faster this way since i already have a sec clearance from the usaf. I know it could be slower as well.

it all evens out if ur VRA and go the traditional route as opposed to the PEPSI. i went traditional and think it will even out.

i'm not pushing the issue and calling everyday though. i'm waiting for the kids to get out of school in may so they won't have to move to another school for a couple weeks.

they do not care about your usaf security clearance they will run a completely new clearance on you since its a different agency, if your going to terminal its much faster than the center clearance.

traditional route seems longer but it does depend on your clearances....i got an interview like a week after i called and canxed with the PEPC and I got the TOL week after that and then its on you for the medical, and security....then you wait for those to get back...then you wait on a class date.
