I believe the ASAP system that updated today will only show us the referral list that we made from now on. Instead of us having to view them all it will only be the ones we are actually referred for. My guess anyways..

Surely sucks, thats good data. I went into my boy's whom application I did for him, sure enough his shows the referral list and mine shows nothing for any apps anymore.

As far as data goes, I would say, yes you can only see your referral list.

they put all the referall lists back up.

Looks like the RMC and VRA announcements will run continuously now through the fiscals. At least now we really only have to apply once to know we are getting consideration the whole time. Says they will make referral lists throughout the year, while the announcement is open. BUT you can only apply for two states at a time now.

Is there going to be one more announcement for VRAs, or is the one that just closed it for the year?

VRA announcements usually open a day after the RMC so I am guess today or tomorrow. But ya it looks like there will only be one more announcement for the year (THAT IS HOW THE RMC READS) and they will just keep making list from that one announcement. Makes a lot more sense if you ask me.

Expect to see it open in a couple days, if you read the RMC "announcement" it gives you some good info, IE there is only two states to select now.

VRA SELECTIONS ARE NON-COMPETITIVE. You either qualify and get picked up or you don't. You are rated on radar or tower experience as a quality factor for what facility you get that's it. The new announcements just make it an apply and go thing, instead of an apply and wait, apply and wait, apply and wait thing.

I like the proposed 2 location idea. It seems better, and presents a smaller chance of the "oh crap I really didn't want there" last option that the FAA enjoys handing out.

Has anyone called HR to see when the next VRA announcement will come out or when they will be generating nationwide referral lists again?

Just curious because it sounds like they are slowing down hiring.
