You get your FOL when you receive a class date. Not sure about the getting out of the military part though.

i haven't heard of anybody getting an FOL while still active duty. i would think it's possible to get it while on terminal leave if u had enough of it or applied early.

Someone, somewhere on this forum stated he was in OKC while on Term Leave but I haven't heard about still active. They really start breaking ya balls for a DD-214 in OKC if you don't have a copy yet .. I know us Navy guys have to wait for our EAOS before its in the mail or in hand

In the USAF, we are able to go into our virtual military processing flight online (assuming we haven't been kicked out yet) and get a temp, or un-official DD214. Ask your personnel flight or whatever you may call it if there is something like that for you. I assume that since that un-official one is good enough to get unemployment, than it's good enough for proof of service or expiration. Good luck!

I think its completely possible, since a FOL just means you start on X date, and as long as you are out by x date... you are good to go.

no other way "that guy" coulda been there on term leave, especially since the AF is fairly notorious for not giving that many days of term. IMO, its COMPLETELY possible to get FOL prior to going on TERM. I just wish I applied sooner :/

You absolutely can be "there" on terminal leave. I'm proof of it. I had 1 month convalescent leave and 62.5 days of terminal leave. If your H.R. rep knows that you're not off of active duty (which they will), then they won't give you an offer yet.

It's one unlawful and two a conflict of interest.<--- That part isn't opinion.
