Staying Hopeful
Posted: 10-01-2009, 12:24 PM I was just wandering if the FAA will still need controllers in 2011? I will be getting back from the Stan early 2011 and will go on terminal in that June. I plan on applying VRA with 10 point veterans pref. Will I still have a good shot at being hired with the FAA? Tell me what you think.
Thanks, Blu |

It's probably a safe bet that the FAA will still be hiring controllers. Check out the FAA's hiring plans for new controllers. I don't think it will present a problem for you. Sorry to hear that you will be getting a 10pt preference. But, that will prove to be a valuable asset, when the time comes. Good luck with the pursuit of your ATC career! It certainly is an exciting field! |
