New military ac lookin for a few answers about faa
Posted: 10-01-2009, 07:47 PM Just wondering about the likelihood of getting picked up in an area I would want? Or is the hiring process more based around the needs of the faa? Also, wondering if people would recommend going to a contract tower first or going straight to the faa?

Posted: 10-03-2009, 05:26 AM Go straight FAA... if you can't get picked up for the facility you want, work at a FCT until you get it. Once you get into a facility, it's difficult to get out.
Say you want DEN, but the FAA offers you DFW.... well, once you get there, you'll likely be stuck because they "need" you and can't afford to let you go (manning-wise). Go FCT until you get DEN, or wherever it is you desire. |
