VA OJT benifits
Posted: 01-02-2010, 05:53 PM I just recently heard about getting money from my GI Bill while in FAA... but I dont quite get it! The person who told me said that once you went to the Academy, you would get OJT money on top of your FAA salary?? If that is true, how much is it??? And do you also get housing money?? And how long do you get that money?
So confused, but quite excited if this is true!! |

Re: VA OJT benifits
Posted: 01-03-2010, 01:03 AM just to clarify on ramstars answer. u won't get it, or more accurately u won't apply for it, until u get to your facility. but you will get paid for all training time to INCLUDE time spent at the academy.
the rate is lower than if you went to school full-time or are drawing off the new post 9-11 gi bill. either way, the amount is listed below: First six months of training - $990.75/mo Second six months of training - $726.55/mo Remaining pursuit of training - $462.35/mo apply as soon as u get to your facility because it is taking close to 4 months+ to get your first payment. |

Re: VA OJT benifits
Posted: 01-03-2010, 12:26 PM no housing. the housing comes from the post 9/11 gi bill for school. it doesn't apply to OJT.
