just wondering why you would clear a guy from vicksburg to alexendria via mccomb, yet tell the R-side to go to natchez when able. maybe it's been that long for me. however, put the damn route in from the D-CRD (d-crud) and let the r side do the rest. don't insult the r-side by telling him what to do.

p.s. i realize there's some active military airspace, but still...put VKS..HEZ..AEX and STILL tell the r to go to natchez when able (at best).

I can't believe the FAA would be cool with that level of specifics. Good luck and very well written. Just hope they don't fire you for that.

    Re: Enroute Radar Bible

Decent info, but I wouldn't call it a Bible. I mean if someone on a point out says "traffic", me as a D-side have never turned to the R-side and said "can you miss that traffic?".

Plus your answer to almost all aircraft requesting lower is to trial plan an altitude with URET. This never happens. As an R side you just look at the scope and give lower. If someone has chop then you don't have time to trail plan altitudes. The main problem with a bunch of trainees is an over reliance on URET. URET is a tool but its not perfect, and misses alot of traffic.

P.S. What is up with you numbering system?

Now at the academy they want you to do the work and tell the r side. the hez shelf is hot you cannot release a plan to hez or you will get an A1. Mcbis within nav aid limits now and by passes the hez shelf. You would still have to appraq the climb with ZHU

When you washout and fail by less then .25 no worries. Although I am still the only person in FAA history to get .44 off for sitting to close to the rside. FU Perry Ann

This is only for academy training. We all know it is different in the real world. How else do you expect people to learn? Or is everyone supposed to be on a "real-world" R side level the second they step into the lab in OKC? This information is great for current and future academy students.

I've heard horror stories of eval day and grading lately but none come close to getting points off for sitting too close to the r side!!

    XXII. Emergiences
1.If not busy (higher priority) write all Ness. info on blank strip in SIA
    2.Print strip out on Acft
    1.Route Amend it will print
    2.or RS CID 66
3.Record all info on strip & inform Sup
1.Acft, Nature of emergiency, pilots disires, dest, equip on ground
    4.Change Dest. via keyboard
1.Corrdnaite with next sector if Ness.
5.Acft needs to be in SPA
6.If handed off & comm change to Apch remove strip (Mark comm change)
7.If Landing VKS, GWO, 0M8 report down time to Sup.
****Only required to pass on Nature, Pilot desires ande requested equitment

I was just scrolling through this bible, but you might have your own emergency when you remove strips (RS)... I'd say Strip Request (SR) might be a better idea and is there a "P" required to get it to print?
