    Former Fed Employee Pay

I have seen posts about people going from one federal job to ATC keeping their pay at the academy, however, if I worked for the gov't like 3, 4 or 5 years ago, will I get to make my previous salary at the academy? Also, my understanding is that I don't have to wait one year to join the union, but does that really matter at the academy?

No, you don't get to keep your salary. Your time should count towards retirement, but not for "save pay". Pay Retention

Thanks for the info! Exactly what I was looking for. From that, it looks like you would have to have been employed by the Fed. Govt. In the last 3 years, is that correct? As far as the union goes, it's 52 weeks of federal employment at any time, right?
