Not always. My uncle is pretty high up at ERAU DB, he was right on when he was telling me panel dates.

The panal dates are easy to come across, a ATM has that accurate information. As for when the announcement will open on USA jobs is completley different. As you can see from the link i posted somebody is sure that it will open on Monday the 27th

I'm assuming from your username that Prof Coyne is your uncle. Pretty good guy. Used to see him all the time in the enroute lab.

I don't see an announcement for CTI grads, only VRAs. How do I apply for this position??

It's this one USAJOBS - Search Jobs

I followed a link from the 6th listing from bottom of a search using non-federal employees criteria here http://jobs.faa.gov/Allfaajobs.htm

Aviator seems to clarify better in the far right column.

Dude, you have to wait 1 month for the referral list and another month for the selection panel. You wont know if anyone gets a TOL for at least 2 months

Re: When is the next Panel?

Can I make a suggestion to those of you that are desperately trying to get hired by the FAA? Consider selecting Fairbanks as your facility of choice. It may (or may not) help you to get hired, but if a career as a controller is what you want, this may get your foot in the door sooner. Please realize that this is a hard to staff facility, atc's here earn an additional 8% CIP. It is NOT an easy facility to check out at. It is a TRSA, which means transponder not required. There are two military airports within your airspace. Majority of populace in Ak has an airplane, and some even have licenses! Hunting season has massive numbers of FLIBs taking off and landing, not just at FAI, but at two airports located within the class D. Summer and fall bring Red Flag operations. For info on this, youtube 'redflag'. It is a level 7 updown, with no threat to being downgraded. At times, the traffic level boarders between a level 9 and a 10. Once you check out here, you will have the skills necessary to work in most towers across the nation!
    I would know...

    Just a thought.

If only...Unfortunately applicants can't single out facilities and apply for them. It's a state-wide choice. FAA puts you where they want you.

Perhaps Alaska should be specified then. There is a provision in the pay system reference to money and retirement that supposedly has a good number of controllers from AK facilities who are eligible to retire pulling the plug before the end of this year.

    Just a rumor I heard.
