Interview yesterday went great. Everyone there is really laid back and friendly. Oh and the control room is one of the coolest places I've ever seen. I'm very excited to be working there.

I have my interview on Friday. Sounds like yours went well, so hopefully the same goes for me! Is anyone not going to go to the PEPC in ATL? I think I am going to stick with the traditional, since the tickets from SEA are about $500 bucks. Hopefully that doesn't put me too far behind in the end...

Yeah I declined the PEPC. I just don't think it's worth it to fly all the way to ATL especially after completing my interview yesterday. It was nice to be local.

Your interview will be fine I'm sure. Very laid back and informal. Just keep in mind they will offer you a tour after and it makes the stress of the interview totally worth it.

For the most part it seemed everyone was pretty upbeat, laid back and happy to be there.

Yeah, I'm not really stressing out about the interview. Did they pretty much stick to the questions on intreview thread?

Looking forward to the tour. I have been there once to sit in with my friend's dad and watch him on the job, and I loved every bit of it!

Does anybody know if seattle center or Seattle TRACON are going to be picking anybody up on this next hiring panel in September?

For ZSE, I doubt it. Seattle Center just took on 22 hires this past round; I'm sure that's all they can take for the next six months, if not the whole year. By September they won't have even started anybody at the Academy yet.

Don't know anything about the TRACON myself.
    Pan pan?

I took a tour of seattle center about 2 months ago with the rest of my CTI class and they said they are full for the fiscal year...That being said I know of a student that just graduated that got a FOL a month after my tour.

Anyone have any updates on moving along in the process? I only interviewed last Friday, so I still haven't heard anything. Has anyone received the OF-306 yet or a TOL?

Nothing for me yet. It will be two weeks post interview next Tuesday. I would wager probably another couple weeks before I see a TOL.
So how did your interview go? Good I'm sure.

It went well. I actually interviewed with one of the ops managers, since the training manager wasn't in that day. He didn't know a whole lot about the hiring process, but most of my questions have been answered on this board anyways. He told me right out that he has never not recommended someone that he has interviewed, so that eased any pressure I had.

On a side note- I interviewed on the 3rd of July and as I drove past the Muckleshoot fireworks stands the field where people light off their fireworks (right next to the stands) was on fire...can you say hazard?

Oh hell yeah. I went up to Lake Tapps on the 4th and drove my wife by the facility. Dumbest idea ever. Traffic was horrendous. That place was crazy.

Hey. I just had an interview up there at seattle center. Seems really cool. Auburn is kind of weird but close enough to town. All the controllers semmed really happy there which is promising. Where i work now everyone is miserable. Yeah im from portland and i drove up for my interview it was only like 2 1/2 hours. Which is perfect distance from the fam. I got my PEPC date for Aug 3rd. Anyone else?

Congrats on ZSE! I'm from Portland as well. I made the drive up to interview on the 30th. I decided not to attend the PEPC and just finish locally.

I agree Auburn itself seems a little sketchy. So far the areas I like are Lake Tapps, Bonney Lake, Lakeland Hills and Maple Valley.

All great areas, and all very close to the center! I live very close to Maple Valley, and can say that it is a very good place to live, just a little bit off the beaten path if you want to go downtown Seattle at all. Lots of great golf out this way, that's for sure.

Are you still waiting on the 306 Cirrus? I interviewed a week after you, so I am kind of gauging when I should receive mine based on yours.

Honestly I could care less about Seattle. It will be nice to have the "big city" close. It's close enough for Mariners games and that's about all I care about

No TOL here yet... Still waiting...

Awesome! I will definitely check that out. I have a free place to stay in Bellevue so that will be cool. Its like a 30 minute drive but it doesn't seem too bad for now. My PEPC is scheduled for Tuesday also and I'm flying in Monday night. If you guys get together let me know it will be cool to meet before we get to the center...
