    Maple Valley,

I live in Auburn, its okay but if you go North its expensive and traffic sucks.

I know you said country, but I had to defend Tacoma from who ever said it was not a very good area, especially since it's been 10+ years. I live in Tacoma and love it. Yes there are some crappy areas, especially around the base (which is probably where he/she was), but so does every other city in the country. Browns Point, Downtown/Stadium/North End (the nicer areas) tend to be where controllers live if they choose Tacoma. It's cheaper than Seattle, and you still get the city feel if you want it. Otherwise, if you want the country, lots of controllers live east or northeast/southeast of the Center like Enumclaw, Black Diamond, Maple Valley, and Bonney Lake.

Dream facility. After 10 years at three different lvl 12 C/T/TR, I've reverted to C and it's every great thing I've ever heard about it and then some. Working conditions are the best I've ever had, BY FAR! Excellent updated facility (especially for a center) and the people are very nice. Would recommend it to anyone!

Just curious, ATC4me9, what were those other facilities? I'm very undecided as to where I'd like to end up, but a level 12 is where I aspire to go (at least for a while).

What are the odds ZSE is going to be needing developmentals slots filled in June?

Actually, I think we are still red, even though we just got an influx of trainees. So chances are better than "Don't count on it."

Are you guys taking any new hires from the prior experience announcement or have they all been transfers?

We have been getting both new hires and transfers, about 60/40 seems like.

    Re: Seattle Center - ZSE

I'm thinking of bidding ZSE as I would love to be in the Seattle area and S46 and SEA are both pretty well staffed. I am currently at a LVL 7 Up/down, does anyone have any insight into how the transition is from terminal to en route? Any other facility insights would be appreciated as well. Thanks!
