Newbie Interested in Being Reinstated Looking for Information.

Hello, I was hired back in 2002 and separated from the FAA a little over four years later in 2006. I was certified a CPC at my facility for exactly 11 months before I left, almost 1 year. I'm interested in being reinstated and don't know where to start. How does this process work?Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

First off, you are reinstatement eligible. I have a similar story. Keep an eye out for usajobs.gov bids for reinstatement or experienced Bids and apply. Be sure to provide SF-50 as well as any other documents the bid requires. Then the process begins of being selected as you are familiar with.

You will have to do ALL your screening and some new items to get hired. Nothing you did before will count.

My advice is to use the usajobs resume builder to avoid missing required info. Many lost out by fogetting dates and such. GL2U.

I was inactive since 07. Just got rehired off this past bid.

Thank you Slater for the quick response. Glad to hear I may be eligible. I have some paperwork, but not all of it. I still have my CTO card and my resignation SF-50. I called my facility and they said they no longer have my personnel file and don't know where I could get any SF-50's I may need.

All my screening? Do you mean the backround checks and physicals? Would I have to go back to OKC to do the academy again? Really glad to hear you got reinstated.

    Thanks again Slater.

    I furnished:

    SF50
    DD214 - military service
    CTO / Pink Card
    Resume

Lately they have been skipping the acadamy for direct fac. Being a CPC will give you a leg up 4 sure. Yes for redo all screening. CTO and SF50 will do. I have a contact to get a copy. Inbox me for the contact person I got mine from. Took me 5 years to sort it out but don't stress. Just wait for a bid.
