ERR Outlook for FLL, SRQ, FPR, VRB, FMY, Etc...

Anyone at these facilities have any info on staffing ? Specifically from an err perspective. I know FL can be rough getting into, just trying to get a feel for what the odds may really be like. Thanks !

First of all FMY is not FAA. RSW is, the tower at RSW is easy but during season the tracon will eat you alive.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought the numbers seemed off.

If you like the area there is also TMB (Tamiami), FXE (Ft Lauderdale Executive) and PBI (Palm Beach) which are close by. I dont know the manning situation

Most of the facilities in Central and South FL are good on manning.

My manager sent out something at our facility back near the end of December saying Daytona, Orlando tower, FLL, PBI, RSW and FPR were pulling ERR bids soon. The district manager wanted to pick people within the distract for the ERR's. Orlando Tower already selected their 4 ppl. PBI never got to pick because they were assigned at least 3 new hires. I think the same thing happened at FLL. FPR already picked and i believe they have a new hire assigned (they are gonna be short for a little while so that might be your best hope). Daytona has picked some ppl, but they might be picking up more. VRB is over-staffed. I believe SRQ and PIE are also over their numbers.

Thanks for the info. I figured it was a long shot but that it couldn't hurt to try. Always good to hear from those in the area who know what's going on.

I would like to get to pbi my too. Had a shot before they got the new hires that were re-directed this last month. They have about 10+ cpc-it in training.

Wow... that's a lot of training. We are finally down to 3 devs at my facility, with one close to cert. Seems people are burned out everywhere. Shame they can't move ERRs around and then use new hires to fill those spots... but I guess I understand the difficulty in that too. I'm under no false assumption that I will be getting in where I want to go any time soon, that's for sure.
