ERR Facility Order Vs Number Needed

Do we know how it is determined how many actual slots are available vs actual need. For example PCT only picked up 1 body in the last NCEPT despite the numbers for a much higher need. What would cause that? I know people in CAT 1 or 2 facilities where no one was picked up to go anywhere despite having paperwork into PCT. What gives?

Bump. PCT eligible to pick up 12 yet only picked up 1 despite other facilities eligible to lose didn't go. Why?

Good luck finding any answers on the new process. You can try one of he NATCA reps listed on the NCEPT page, but they have both ignored me.

Most of the time it's because their facility already let someone go somewhere else.

Example: Facility ABC has 12 CPCs, can let 1 go, and 8 have ERR paperwork in to leave. All of those 8 are going to make the "preference list" and get ranked by their receiving facility. As they move down the facility priority list, one gets picked up, and the other 7 are no longer eligible to leave. So when you get to facility XYZ at priority number 150 or so, which had 10 people from various facilities on their preference list, none of them are eligible to leave anymore.

This simple issue is confusing lots of natca reps and managers. They're complaining "Well, the NCEPT panel must not be following our preference list because we got the last person on our list of 10 people." But they don't realize that all of the others became ineligible earlier in the process.
