Does Being a NATCA Member at a Contract Facility Give Seniority in the FAA?

Is there any benefit being a NATCA member and then going FAA? Does it add seniority at all or is seniority basically by start date at the academy/facility?

    Thanks

    I believe seniority carries over

If your previous contract facility or facilities elects NATCA as its bargaining unit representative, the current seniority policy says that all your time there counts toward your seniority as an FAA employee even you weren't a member when you were there.

Yes it does. I walked in the FAA on day one with 2.5 years of seniority
