CTO and PPL on Same FAA Airmen Certificate?

So , I have had a CTO for a long time now, however, I am a brand spankin' new private pilot. I still don't have the hard plastic pilot certificate yet. I just have the paper/temporary airmen certificate. So here is my question... I have a CTO airmen certificate with an FAA airmen certificate number on it. However my paper pilots certificate says "certificate numberending" on it.

My question issue me a new "plastic" airmen certificate with CTO and PRIVATE PILOT on the same card all under the same certificate number that I have had for years, or will I get a seperate plastic card for pilot with a new certificate # and have to carry around two cards. Anyone know?

Re: CTO and PPL on Same FAA Airmen Certificate?

They will be separate cards. I have 5 CTO's and 1 PPL and they are ALL on different cards. The only difference is in the top right hand corner on the front the FAA Logo will be BLUE on your PPL and BLACK on your CTO's. Also, my CTO number was they same on my PPL card. I carry both cards arounds..

    Goodluck and congrats!
