FAA HIRING PROCESS BURNED BY CHICAGO TRIBUNE

Oh now, now alpha males are the people that go online and call others butthurt? Wow, the world really is turning upside down.

FAA HIRING PROCESS BURNED BY CHICAGO TRIBUNE

Apparently this is the personality the FAA wants, arrogant folk who rub their random bq success in the face of the less fortunate. Good luck in OKC.

Debate Topic: Should the United States Privatize the Air Traffic Control System?

My god, how nice would it be if each facility could just hold their own job openings and interview candidates.

FAA HIRING PROCESS BURNED BY CHICAGO TRIBUNE

Lol part of a rigorous testing process? Give me a break. Since it appears that the standards were dropped so low on the ATSAT that anyone with a head attached at the neck can pass. The BQ is essentially now the ENTIRE testing process. If you get a green check and don't ride the short bus or...

    Writing Your Congressmen

As a former student, I've said this for quite some time, even while I was in school, although everyone agrees, nobody seems to care as long as your tuition is in on time. You should also have to take a 2nd class medical to get into the program.

    Writing Your Congressmen

Thanks to the wise and all knowing BQ, the person that wrote that text for the CNN article has exactly the same chance to be hired as all of us. Gotta be fair.

FAA To Unsuccessful ATC Applicants: Try Again Next Year

Still waiting on one piece of empirical evidence that explains how the amount of art credits you took in college correlates with controller training success. A 5 year old could have devised a better personality test. Would you rather read Clifford or Curious George? Clifford. We're sorry...

Grace Napolitano Visiting Mt. SAC Flight Controller Program Thursday

Wow, you guys are ruthless. Never in my life have I met so many anti-education folks in my life. I don't think a single CTI grad wants to be given preference over someone with actual ATC experience, ESPECIALLY a veteran with prior controller experience whom I would consider to be the most...

    Called Career Services in OKC

As someone who's been waiting for two years just for an opportunity to prove themselves to the FAA(and that's on the lower end), you sir can take your butthurt statement and go shove it up your you-know-what.

Grace Napolitano Visiting Mt. SAC Flight Controller Program Thursday

Once again, another thread hijacked by people whom either passed the bq or already have TOLs telling the "failure group" to stop complaining. Give me a break fellas.

    Called Career Services in OKC

Of course that's the case, no job has a foolproof method of selecting the right candidates for the job 100% of the time, the only hope is to get the highest percentage of successful candidates. I'll te you one thing, in my opinion, taking time to actually interview people would be a good place...

    Called Career Services in OKC

Yes I realize that, and I never stated that it was the case. I merely commented on the potential change and then defended my viewpoint.

Let's compare it to normal school grading. I think we can all agree that an A is better than a C, under the new grading system, their will be no distinction between the two. Was it possible to get into the FAA with a C in the past, yes but HIGHLY unlikely and only in a scenario where not enough...

    Called Career Services in OKC

Allowing someone entrance to the OKC academy who scored a 70-84 on the ATSAT, IS lowering the standards. The atsat is the labeled as the "best predictor of success". For the last 10 years if you scored below an 85 on the test start you should start looking for a new career, but now you're just...

    Called Career Services in OKC

Seems to be standard FAA procedure these days. If you don't get the numbers you're looking for, just lower the standards.
