I love BW's, we use to go every week when I lived near one. But they haven't had one where i've lived the last few years, so yeah i'm pretty stoked. And I received a phone call just about 20 minutes ago. It was pretty simple, just a man saying he needed some information to expedite the process...

You guys all get your calls this morning? It's almost here. Still doesn't feel real, but I'm sure it will be feeling real enough tomorrow for orientation. But so far, OKC is not too shabby. Got my BW's fix last night, enjoying the brisk air, and ready to go explore today.

Yeah I drove. 23 hrs straight lol. Weather is actually pretty nice. The roads are pretty clear, a few slick spots but not nearly as bad as by buddies said it was going to be. Now, one day of rest before the big day. I'm feeling like a Star Wars marathon sort of a day :)

I just got in, nothing has availability. I'm staying at some hotel for a week, then Iso for 3 weeks, then who knows haha. We shall see. You can't have everything planned out too far in advance, where is the fun and adventure in that? :)

Finally got my FOL!! 6 day notice to report lol. But they redirected me from Cali to WA (GEG). Either way, I'm stoked to finally get in man. The wait has been too long.

Yeah. I put WA as one of my other choices. That was the reason for my state switch. From what I understand, they are trying to push people through as fast as possible now and I wasn't likely to get in this year if I stayed in CA. But with a swap I am expected within a few months. Hope that helps.

Got my call for a refresh last Sat. Was CA terminal, but just found out that I got a redirect to WA. At least the ball is rollin.

Nope. Got out 2 years ago last September. Had my TOL for the last 2 years, and waiting for the new class dates. Been lovin it though. Being back in Cali is a dream come true.

I know of a few people who separated as a 3lvl at their first base. Never any ratings, and picked up by the FAA. However, they had "52 weeks of ATC experience", which gave them VRA qual. Which would not apply in this case.

That's terrible, I'm sorry to hear. Now I feel a bit better that I haven't called to bother her in the last several months. I hope she's doing alright with it.

Really? I've sent over a dozen emails, left phone messages, and called countless times. Only responded once or twice to an email. I eventually just gave up trying to contact her. Oh, and every time she was out of the office, I tried to contact her assistants, both of which also never responded...
