Weather Reporting: METAR Observation -> Time OR METAR Time -> Observation

Why call it in? There is an FAA website you can go to and enter in all the information, that way you know it's right and FSS doesn't fat finger something.

    Seniority and Schedule

I am transferring from one NATCA FCT to another NATCA FCT. I have seniority on 2 current controllers at what will be my new facility. My question is this, Do I have to take the open schedule line or can I ask for a rebid of the schedule once certified?

KXNA is RVA. KROG (Walmart flies out of) is CI2, also KFYV and KASG are CI2. Walmart does not own any towers in Northwest Arkansas.

does the army give you a cto?

yes. Problem is that there are not many VFR towers in the Army. Most Army controllers end up in tactical units. I got my CTO at Fort Sill in 1995, then got out of the Army in 1999. After being out for 10 years I was able to land a job with Midwest.

Age limit increased w/ military time?

I would bet that he is mis-informed. There are enough of us that turned 31 before the hiring explosion of 2006, that if this were true, one of us would already have informed the others.

FAA Hiring Practices For Air Traffic Controllers In Question

I'll stir the pot a little.........How about just revoke the age 31 rule. That would open up a large pool of very qualified controllers. There are many controllers like myself, who missed the hiring frenzy because they turned 31 before 2006.
