haha.. I was asking seriously though. Don't know how guard works. Is it bcz you apply for a contract to a place?

Honestly because I work 3 different jobs ha. but irrelevant why. Just saying I probably do.

Guard was a good deal for me. Only required to work one weekend a month (unless I wanted more days) and they paid for my schooling and gave me the experience i wanted.

oooh, your not full time guard. Gotcha. A guy like myself with only 6 yrs only makes like 50-55k so not too hard to out do...

Right. I was full time for the last 6 months, about to pick up another 6 month tour within a month. Normally when I work there I only have 2 jobs.

Reserves/ Part-time is a good way to go, as long as you get that 50% disability so you can double dip at retirement!

Ya until your disability after 5 yrs is 40% and close to your retirement for 20, and you waisted 14 yrs. (I haven't ran the numbers to see how close it'd be)
