Just received my TOL! Can anyone give me the pros and cons for ZAB?
I can't speak about the facility, but I have spent quite a bit of time in Albuquerque. I would stay out of the city proper and instead try to live someplace like Rio Rancho or Corrales. Although if I remember correctly, the Center is located on Louisiana and Paseo Del Norte on the NE side of the city and those neighborhoods are pretty decent. It is kind of a depressed city, but there are some hidden gems to check out on the weekend. You are no more than about an hours drive from many national forests and national parks/ monuments. Santa Fe isn't too far and if you're into the artsy stuff, that is a good place to see. Santa Fe National Forest has some KILLER hiking and backpacking within the Pecos Wilderness.

It's a center, much like any other center. Staffing is terrible, so I would expect your training to run longer as a result.

I won't complain about making 90k a year to train for 3 year! I can't wait to get started, really excited!

It's a really good facility to work at. Staffing is horrendous, so if you're certified on a couple positions, whether they're D sides or R sides you work mandatory 6 day work weeks. Once you get to the floor, they are pushing training hard and making a strong effort to get people through training because they need people so badly. I live in the NE Heights because I think it's the best part of the city and love the area. You'll hear a million opinions on where to live cuz the west side and Rio Rancho are a lot cheaper and you get more for your money. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me.

Telegraph Hills on the SE corner of Louisiana and San Antonio is a good value. Older, but has real AC and not swamp cooling. MUCH cheaper than the nearby Olympus properties which I will actively rail against.
