So if there is no bid and the new ERR MOU is what it is then I can't leave Memphis Center to go to A80?
Your facility doesn't have adequate staffing to release you anywhere except C90 and N90 regardless of whether another facility has a bid out or not.

Pretty much all of thr centers are understaffed and unable to release people. It makes sense that all the bid center jobs are going to people from level 7 towers.

Yep, because it makes perfect sense to take someone from a low level facility, with zero enroute experience, and put them in a support specialist position, flow, or make them a sup. The union is going to have to step up and start butting heads with the agency instead of taking this kumbaya approach to collaboration.

I agree. It's ridiculous. The new MOU has made things difficult in that regard. I probably should have bid on the Academy job as an instructor because you get return rights to your region after 3 years.

And 54,000 dollars (before taxes.)

Man...paid move both ways? I must've missed that bid, was it on USAJobs?
I think the last terminal one was summer of 2016. They had an en-route job posted in January.
Both weren't actually instructors, they were QA positions.

Noob question: what is a QA position and how does it differ from instructor?

They're still listed as "instructors", but the coding on the job announcement is slightly different.
An actual instructor leads a class through training.
The QA spots evaluate the students on graded evals at the end of the course.

That would have been super easy. Should have done that.

Supervisor material right here boys.
He's not wrong, if they don't meet the requirements to make it through Academy, it's not like they can just be sent on to the facility (pretty sure that used to happen, but no more.)
En-route class that went through just had 13 fail.

lol it's a goal, in reality not achievable, in the end though I'll do as I am told. I had to admire the person though.
