Does anyone have any recent info on ZOB? Are there any training holds? Does ZOB already have datacom? How is the atmosphere? Would you recommend it?

Thanks for any insight
It won't let me send a reply to your message, so I'll just post it here. Hopefully you see it before you go in and select!

-Yes, we have a fantastic relationship with our management. I just took a 2 day class on collaboration, NATCA and the FAA's joint effort for the past 6 years to work together instead of traditional means of negotiations, and ZOB is actually the gold standard for that program and the talk of the country thanks to FacReps we've had in this time frame who had a big part in that.

-We're starting to gather our local Datacomm team together now. Sometime this summer, certain tasks will be started with that program, and I believe we'll be the 7th center to go online with it, sometime in mid 2019. Again, I took a 2 day class on that program as well (I'm the NATCA rep for my area, so I have to attend these things lol) and I'm super excited for this!

-I don't think there would be a HUGE training backlog for these new hires recently. Some, yes, but I guarantee you'll still get fully certified faster than most of your class. I waited 4 months to get a D-school class, and still fully certified in 25 months. Our current BIG project has been a Metroplex redesign of Detroit and Cleveland approach, so that's taking up a LOT of lab time this year. It will be over and implemented by September though, so the training department should be smooth sailing until datacomm gets going in 2019.

Hey guys, I’ve been debating putting an ERR into ZOB for some time now, I was told if I have on in on this next ERR panel I would be the first one released since ZOB is so high on the priority list. I’m from the area and would love to get back but just have a few questions for those of you working there if if you wouldn’t mind me sending you some PMs

I never mind, it's the only reason I still come to this website, to answer questions for those interested!

You can even PM me your number and a good time to call if you'd like. Usually a week's worth of PM'ing back and forth could be knocked out in one 20-30 minute phone call. haha
