Does anyone have any info or a list on what facilities are hetting the CIP raise OCT1ST? Everone at work is saying my facility is getting a 8-10% bump but only certain hard to staff places are getting it.

CIP is going to be at the same facilities at the same % as it was before the IWRs. If your facility had CIP before Sept 3, 2006, it will be back at the same amount starting October 1st.

There are 5 facilities listed in the arbitration award for 8% CIP. Everyone else is unchanged for FY2010 (for now) from FY2006.

There are a couple of new ones that are 8%(FAI and GCN), Two raised to 8%(ASE and C90) and one lowered to 8% (ACK). I couldn't figure out how to export from XL to Word and keep the format sorry. Like ATCatWI said, Other than the ones listed up top, if your facility had CIP before they will again at the old levels.

speaking of pay, has anyone heard anything about FCT getting any increase to come close to Flight service?

I think controllers at my facility were saying we used to get it in 2006 as well. I just wanted to check though. I'm at MDW. Is there an old list that had the facilities back then so I can see if we're getting the CIP raise next month?

So, can someone explain how your final pay is calculated?

Do they apply your locality % first and then the CIP % second? And is the CIP tax free or taxed?

Thanks!

So what determines the CIP rate? Facility level and location? Some crazy formula I don't even want to know about?

It originally was supposed to be for "hard to staff" facilities. It is a percent of your basic pay before geographic. It is taxed as income and does not count toward retirement.

D01 is in rough shape, too many n00bs. Most are checked out on either arrivals or departures, but not both. That policy is being remedied, but in the meantime it's six-day workweeks.

CIP is calculated off of your basic pay, before locality is factored in. An easy way to see what your pay will be with CIP and locality is just add the CIP and locality percentages and then use that.

ex

c90 CIP is 8% and locality in 2009 is 24.47%, so use 32.47% of the basic pay bands to see what your pay will be.

So does CIP count at the acadmey or just when you get to where you are going
You get CIP after graduating the Pass/Fail portion of Acad. Myself, I'm in Radar Term school, so since its PASS pass after a week of class work, we got our CIP pay after that.
