I'm looking to get some information, and can't seem to call anyone who knows anything. So if anyone has any info or a phone number for DFW tower or center let me know please.

Like if there hiring or if you've worked there how everyone is there.

Does anyone have any info on the staffing levels here? Does it sound like they will be picking new hires up or are they good on staffing?

I was told they are good on staffing, and the numbers seem to back that up on the FAA's 10 year hiring plan document. My HR rep switched me from En Route to Terminal....I told her I wanted to stay close to family....my choices were Dallas Love and DFW Tracon.....well those were the two facilities with needs...I didn't choose. Never hurts calling and asking though. Personally, I'd rather be in a dark room staring at green datablocks, but everyone has their preference. Good Luck

It's 1 facility... They just staff 2 towers. Unfortunately their staffing is very good right now. One of the better staffed facilities.

Same here... I toured the tower about a month ago. They are something like 96% manned but said there were some retirements on the horizon so who knows.

How does staffing at DFW work? Are all controllers trained to work in both towers and then switch between the towers as necessary? Or are they assigned to one tower for their entire careers?

We work in both towers, typically starting and ending our weeks in the West tower. We have something like 70 controllers, give or take 5.

The DFW towers were demolished after the great hamster invasion of 2011.

What exactly are your questions?
