Just curious, how fast does the applications usually hit the cap? First hour? First day?
It is assumed since this application went to the last day, compared to the last application last year (2018) went to the second to last day, that either the cap was met later or was not met at all.

Has anyone’s application turned red? My application is still green so I’m not sure at what point they start picking people to move forward to the next step. Thanks!

Each day that goes by i am getting more worried. I am currently in college going for a aeronautical science degree. Same path my father took. He graduated out of Embry-Riddle with the same degree. He applied to the FAA and graduated the academy back in 86. He was in flight service and loved his job. What are the odds i get choosen to move to the next stage to take the ATSA? He has told me a lot of advise and tells me now days it’s unlikely to get hired OTS. Does the FAA hire people that are still in college going for aviation degrees? And any asvise would be great.

The FAA does hire people still in college as long as you have your degree before you're hired. As long as you have a combined work experience and education you can still be hired? Also the odds of you moving to take the ATSA are pretty high.

I didn’t get to finish school. I was going for a business degree with a minor air traffic control and I got picked up. All you really need is a great work experience that shows you are progressing. So I’m considered OTS.

Ill have to share this information with my dad and see what he thinks. On top of college i am only in my second year. I am currently 20 years old, so not realy sure what are odds of moving to the next stage are. I do 100% plan on getting a minor in atc. Other than education i am not sure about what the FAA excatly asks for about “responsible job experience” is that only aviation related work? Because i do work part time in a pharmacy. The work i do in a pharmacy i would most definitely say it’s responsible considering you could kill someone by making a mistake. I did qualify with both education and work experience. I guess well see later in August what happens. I do really appreciate what you guys post, it’s extremely helpful. Hopefully we all get through.
