That's why the whole thing was suspicious. Filed a grievance then a few weeks later got called into the office and told about an anonymous report of me being asleep on position. Handed over my piv card and walked out. Thanks for the help natca.

This is one of the few things natca national has been very vocal about. If you use your cell phone or sleep on positron they will do nothing.

Did you actually fall asleep on position? Or was it an anonymous report from someone setting you up? While still in training?

Anonymous report. Staffing showed a full cab during the time of occurrence. I was just waiting for traffic to check out on LC.

That's bs. Those guys who fell asleep at DCA and commercial flights had to land on Unicom....I'm almost positive they only got a 2 week suspension.

Hahahaha! Have you seen the NCEPT thread? You're funny. I'm not even shedding a tear for the center guys getting 10-12 pay. Try 3 years to cert at a level 7 because the training program sucks, then indefinite delay on transfers because of staffing levels. You should try standup.
Took me 2 years to check out at a 7 and a year to transfer with 13 cpc's and 15 trainees. I went through it. If you read my post in its entirety you would have known this. I didn't just get that golden ticket to the center, I did it the hard way. I also had a kid who was in the hospital for 3 months in the middle of training, and juggled the intricacies and drama that a low level training facility brings, so It's hard for me to shed a tear when I went through a similar situation. My answer still is, suck it up, check out, and transfer higher. Things move slowly in the FAA, and as crappy as you think you have it, you can be sure someone else has it worse. I went from a 7 to 12 to 11 in around 5 years, and it wasn't super fun or super easY.

And my standup is frickin amazing, as I'm sure anyone on here that knows me can attest.

That was before the new ERR MOU came into effect. 5 years now means you might have been lucky enough to put in paperwork to a facility that'll accept you, granted your present facility can allow any individuals to leave.

I knew I would be famous one day

Anyway, I'm not saying you guys are wrong. I'm just saying that a lot of things in this job, especially admin wise don't make a ton of sense, which you should know by now. You get all pissed off at me, because now I'm making the big bucks and you aren't, and some bad rules made it harder for you to get to where I am. The way someone reacted in the last post is possibly why no one takes that person seriously, because that particular one will probably always have something to whine about.

For all you others on here that actually don't have a half empty glass all the time, good luck. It's an uphill battle but possibly doable. I have read it a few times, and talked to some reps about it but they have some good arguments for it as well. Hear everyone out, and things like this definitely take time. The thing that makes no sense is that it implies that someone fresh from the academy has a better chance at a high level facility than someone who is CPC at a lower one, which we all know makes zero sense.

Lineup, don't know your whole situation, but if you didn't fall asleep fight the crap out of it. If you did and there are multiple ppl who say you did, you are screwed. Sucks either way, bigtime.
