so what's the word? are controllers really staying home today? haven't seen an update from NATCA yet.

We only have one controller out today in my area. Most have swapped around there days to keep Sunday pay. We have 7 on furlough tomorrow which includes me.

I think we have ONE sunday furlough every 2 weeks...

we love our 25%

Our training dept. was kind enough to schedule our furlough days such that we have a couple 4 day weekends. The last Friday of a pay period, then the first Monday of the next. Softens the blow of having to take unpaid days off!

Arrival delays at JFK and LGA of 1 hour 15 min already tonight due to "staffing". Will be pretty interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

Southwest 33 out of MDW is delayed until 315am. Original departure was 925p. They are claiming it is all ATC. I believe ATC made the crew time out. I'm guessing thing from my experience in airline ops.

What's funny is they ALWAYS blame Atc.... At least this time is sort of our fault (congress really, but close enough)

:p:p:p:p yah they are going to blame ATC if there is flo control. We get wheels up times all the time that are 2-3 hours after scheduled departures

You have got to be kidding me if 700ft overcast 7sm is causing 3 hour delays into LAX. We land with 1600 RVR all day long in Anchorage just using the ILS.

TMU at ZLA is unbelievable. they'd push back for 30 MIT to adjacent centers even without the sequestration going on.
