My name is Jordan. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I'm interested in becoming an air traffic controller. I have explored options for how to achieve this goal, and have decided to go the military route; more specifically, the air national guard. Anyway, I'm very new to the subject of ATC, including terminology, but I'm humble enough to learn from anybody's experiences and/or advice that you all may be willing to share. Thank you in advance for taking the time to educate an uninformed fella like me.

As someone who’s went the air national guard route, it’s a good way to go. You’ll have to find a way to get 52 weeks post certification time to meet the FAA requirement tho. Also to meet the requirement for contractors also so you can do ATC while you wait on the FAA
