Barty I know the feeling. I just finished non-radar today! I havent been on the boards since basics. You still around or are you in the game? I would offer some info on the enroute training but I am in the E-Ram test course and so it doesnt apply to anyone else. Glad to see some other people heading same way as I am. I toured memphis over labor day but wasnt able to get into the center. going back to check out our new apartment over the next holiday.
I'm at ZME now and just finished my Stage II class "work" yesterday. You will get four maps to draw, center high and low, and the high and low maps for the area you will be in. Center maps are nothing but airways, VORs and sector names. Area maps add in airports, intersections, special use and approach control airspace, and airway mileages (navaid to navaid). When you get to stage III, that's when they add in MEAs and MOCAs (sorry, not everything is 3000, 4000 or 5000 feet any more!) and mileage between intersections. It took me about 2.5 weeks to get through all the maps and CBIs (mainly a review, some new material) working at a fairly easy pace with a couple of days of orientation, meetings and briefings thrown in. They schedule 20 class days to work on the self-paced items, and then there are about 5 other days set aside for the aforementioned items and some A-side training in the lab (ie., they show you how to load paper into the strip printer and how to use ERIDS). So you have plenty of time to finish everything they give you to do.
Looking at the list on the wall in class, it looks like you guys will be here around the 5th of November, right?
