Hi!

I am a CTI student. I just took my AT-SAT and got a 89...I am thinking which state to pick so I won't have to rush when they ask me. Would CA be a good state (I understand the high costs to live there...)? Do I also get to pick a county?

What other states would you suggest?

Thank you!!!

You definitely will not have to rush to choose. Unless they have changed the cti application since I applied, which was June 09, you get 2 geographic preferences and they are entire states and U.S. territories, like Puerto Rico. So when you choose a state, such as California make sure you are willing to go anywhere in the entire state that has an FAA facility. If there is anywhere in CA that you really do not want to be then I wouldn't choose it. The worst thing you could do is turn down a facility because of the location. As far as what states to choose, that's the million dollar question. I would recommend making lots of phone calls to facilities around the country.
